Which is Better Dish Network or Direct TV
So you've decided to go with satellite to get your TV fix,
but aren't sure about where to start. Before ripping out
your hair from the stress, realize that it really only boils
down to either Dish Network or Direct TV. But even when the
possibilities have been narrowed down, it may not feel easy
to you. However, don't just pick a name out of a hat and run
with it. Instead, take a good look at what both companies
offer before reaching a final decision.
Do you enjoy or are curious about shows from other
countries? Both Direct TV and Dish Network make available
foreign channels for the viewing pleasure of their
customers. But while Direct TV only carries about twelve
channels of this nature, Dish Network has around twenty,
giving you a lot more in variety. If this sort of thing is
important to your TV viewing, you may want to take this
under consideration when coming to a resolution.
If sports are more your thing, there is something to wet
your whistle on both sides, too. In fact, with over thirty
channels to choose from, there is bound to be more sports
options than anyone could ask for.
What if you're looking for internet access on top of a
satellite dish? In the case of Dish Network, you can use DSL
and receive access through your phone line. Or, if you don't
want to clutter your phone's availability, you can get it
through your satellite, as well. Direct TV, on the other
hand, does not offer direct internet access.
If it really boils down to price for you, keep in mind that
both Direct TV and Dish Network are about the same when it
comes to the costs of the packages they offer. However, when
you consider the fact that Dish Network has about
six standard packages available with more than two
hundred and eighty channels to include, as
opposed to Direct TV's four standard packages and over two
hundred and sixty channels, Dish Network definitely
comes out on top. Dish Network is also number one
in customer happiness for cable and satellite companies,
which is also something to keep in mind. |
